Running, Jumping, throwing and skipping through the rain at Beith Primary School Sports Day 2015

The rain couldn’t dampen the competitive spirits of the children taking part in the annual Beith Primary School Sports at Beith Astro this morning.  Beith folk are made of hard stuff.  They didn’t melt – they had a great time! There was a  massive turnout, over 100 parents and 400 hundred children came along to Beith Astro to make the 2015 sports day the best yet.   For more pictures check out Beith Astro Facebook page.

An amazing turnout of mums, dads, grans, papas and carers cheered the soggy competitors to victory.  As the games commenced everyone tried their best to win points for their house team. Woodside, Crummock, Grangehill and Morrishill houses raced over hurdles, battled each other in dodgeball, threw javelins, bounced about in sacks and hopped, skipped and jumped in team building exercises as well as running their socks off in races. When the points where tallied up it was almost too close to call and at the end of the day only 12 points separated 1st from 2nd, but it was Crummock who came out on top as the winners of the 2015 Beith Primary School  Day

Beith Astro was really impressed with the dedication and commitment of the parent helpers and school volunteers and the good spirits of parents on hey day all giving up their time to make sure that the 2015 school sports day was a massive success – it will definitely go down in history as the soggiest but that didnt stop the fun – well done to everyone and a special congratulations to Crummock house!   For more pictures check out Beith Astro Facebook page
